While checking out some Kits for the Craft Kits, we discovered Pixel Hobby UK.

We first saw them at the Stitches Trade Show in February when we had a workshop with them. Initially we were just looking at the kits they supply, but after having a good chat with them we found out we can also buy the components of the kits separately.



So what we intend to do is buy some of the kits for the Craft Kits website, and buy the components for the Craft Bits website.

We also looked at Dazzle Dots, we will be buying some for the Kits website, but we don't think they are as versatile as the Pixel Hobby UK system.

PIXEL HOBBY

Pixel Hobby comes in two types - Standard Pixel (2.5mm square) and XL Pixel (5mm square)

Standard Pixels are suitable for ages 6 years to 99+

XL Pixel kits are suitable for ages 4 years to 99+. The pixels in these kits are twice as big so perfect for the younger children, but also good for the elderly to keep their mind and hands active. We have also had feedback that XL Pixel kits are really liked by some Autistic children and adults.

Both Standard Pixels and XL Pixels are sustainably produced from bio-plastics which are 100% recyclable and do not contain toxic materials.

There is no need for gluing or ironing to make your pictures permanent. You can also re-use the pixels (XL ones are easiest) to make new pictures.

You can buy ready made kits from Craft Kits or buy the components below to make your own designs.
